Service
Your Website, Built by Hand
A site built from scratch for your business. Loads fast on a phone, says what you do in plain language, and gives Google everything it needs to show you.
Templates carry other people’s decisions
A page builder ships the markup its authors needed for ten thousand other sites, which is why a five-section page arrives with four hundred kilobytes of JavaScript and a DOM six levels deeper than it needs to be. None of that is free. It costs you render time on a mid-range phone, it costs you crawl budget, and it buries your actual content under scaffolding. We write the markup your page needs and nothing else.
If a crawler has to run JavaScript to see your content, you have already lost time
Google can render JavaScript, but rendering is queued and deferred, and that queue is not something you control. Server-rendered HTML is read on the first pass. On a site that changes -- new services, new locations, new posts -- that difference compounds into weeks of lost indexing.
Speed is measured on the device your customer actually holds
A Lighthouse score on a developer laptop over office fibre is not evidence. We test on throttled connections and mid-tier Android hardware, because that is where your traffic is, and it is what Google measures through field data collected from real Chrome users.
Your Website, Built by Hand: common questions
Do you use WordPress?
Not by default. WordPress is a reasonable choice when a non-technical team must publish daily and needs a familiar editor. It is a poor choice when the goal is a fast, secure, low-maintenance marketing site, because you inherit a plugin surface you then have to patch forever. We will tell you honestly which situation you are in.
Will I be able to edit the site myself?
Yes. We connect a headless CMS for the content you will genuinely change -- posts, services, testimonials -- and leave the structural code to us. That split keeps the site fast and keeps you from being able to accidentally break your own rankings.
How long does a build take?
A focused local business site is typically three to five weeks from kickoff to launch. The variable is almost never the code. It is how quickly we can get real content, real photography, and real answers about your business.
